Victor Rondell Pedew of Asheville, North Carolina, transitioned this life on August 1, 2022. Born on March 3, 1954, Rondell was a life-long resident of Asheville. Following his graduation from Asheville High School in 1972, he went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from A.B. Technical College. Rondell was a dedicated employee of Wilson Arts, Inc. until his retirement in 2014. Rondell accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a dedicated member of St. Paul Baptist Church where his grandfather, Rev. James E. Pedew served as pastor. He went on to serve on the St. Paul Deacon Board for several years. Loved and respected by many throughout Asheville, Rondell was an avid gardener and could grow practically anything he touched. A true green thumb garden master.
Rondell is preceded in death by his brother, Ricardo Pedew, and his loving grandparents, The Rev. James E. and Mrs. Iola Pedew.
He is survived by his mother, Cordelia Pedew Chambers; his stepfather, Marvin Dean Chambers, Sr.; his brother, Marvin Chambers, Jr.; his children, James and Destiny; his sister, Alethea Chambers Alford (Uvanney) and their children, Severine and Avery.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on August 6, 2022 at Sunset Cemetery on Sweeten Creek Road. Arrangements are being provided by Ray Funeral & Cremation
