Ms. Paralee Anderson passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was born on May 13th, 1937 in Prairie, AL to the late William and Willie Duncan Anderson
Upon moving to Asheville, NC, Ms. Anderson worked for Mission Hospital for approximately 50 years. She was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church and enjoyed attending different churches to be a part of their Worship Services. If a church in the area was going on an outing, Ms. Paralee was on the van. She participated in the events sponsored by her church, attended Sunday school and was part of the Keen Agers.
Ms. Paralee was an avid fund raiser for the March of Dimes and was once recognized for raising the most money in Asheville.
Following an illness a few years ago, she lived with Ms. Shirley Austin, who became a true friend. Other trusted friends are Deacon Josephine Hall and Ms. Linda Jones. There are many others who knew Ms. Anderson and she will be truly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Sandy Anderson of Birmingham, Alabama; nephews, Otis (Gwen) Anderson and Cordell (Valerie) Anderson both of Birmingham, AL; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Viewing will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited to 50 people. Attendees must wear a face covering, sanitize hands and social distance.
