John Mack Holloway Jr., 75, entered eternal peace on Saturday, November 28,2020, at Mission Hospital, Asheville NC.
He was born February 1,1945 to late John Mack Holloway Sr. and Kathleen Koon Holloway. He attended Stephens-Lee High School. John moved to New York and was employed by the U.S Postal Service and TPG Architects Group. He married Mary Robertson Holloway and this union was blessed with two children, Carolyn Holloway and John Holloway III. John was a member of Faith Tabernacle Christen Center and was active in the Men’s Ministry, Choir and Usher Ministry. John and Mary loved to travel. He was family oriented, loving and caring to all. John leaves his family a legacy of love and respect. His love and wisdom will always be cherished.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Neely.
Surviving family include his wife of 57 years, Mary Robertson Holloway, son, John Mack Holloway, III (Katherine); daughter, Carolyn Holloway; sisters, Johnsie Brome and Carol Uche; brother, George Holloway (Deborah); grandchildren, Nathaniel Gasque, Daniel Holloway, Megan Holloway, Travis Holloway, Moses Holloway, John Mack Holloway IV, Langston Holloway; great-grandchildren, Channing Holloway, Nia Gasque; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private family service will be held.
