Jasper Lenardo Beavers, Jr., 84, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Mission Hospital. He was born in Nashville, TN March 11, 1938 to the late Jasper Lenardo Beavers, Sr. and Myrtle Compton Beavers.
Jasper was formerly employed with Beacon Manufacturing Company and the City of Asheville. He was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and served as a deacon, member of the men’s choir and bus driver. Jasper enjoyed riding motorcycles, painting, collecting model cars, puzzles, woodcraft and ceramics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Louise Beavers; son, Frankie Wilson; sister, Sylvia Sloss; brothers, Charles W. Compton and Robert Compton.
Left to cherish his memory are sons, Rickie Beavers (Angie), Randall Beavers (Verdie), and Michael Beavers; daughter, Muriel Wilson; sister, Ruby Robinson; daughter in law, Gloria Wilson; other family members and friends.
Public viewing will be 2:00-6:00pm Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday, September 26, 2022 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
