George Randell Clinkscales, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He was born August 13, 1948, in Asheville, NC, to the late Zack and Mildred Hall Clinkscales.
George was a graduate of Stephens-Lee High School, Class of 1966. He was the owner and operator of Gasko Cleaning Service. He was employed and retired from Suburban Propane Company. George was also employed and retired from Asheville City School system. George was a member of Hill Street Missionary Baptist Church and served as a trustee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William and Wardell Clinkscales; brothers-in-law, Robert Butler and Willie Solomon.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Alberta Butler Clinkscales; son, Kevin Clinkscales (LaKeisha); daughter, Sheneé Clinkscales McJimpsey; sister, Nadine C. Byrd (Michael); sister-in-law, Evelyn Butler-Solomon; brothers-in-law, Harvey Butler (Lillian) and Anthony Butler (Gwen); aunt, Lillie Gaffney; grandchildren, Yashiah McJimpsey, Destini McKinney, Karissa Clinkscales, Jasmine Clinkscales; a host of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from 1:00-5:00 pm Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, August 2, 2021 at Hill Street Missionary Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. All attendees to the service will be required to wear masks.
