Evelyn (Evie) C. Iovacchini passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020 from complications of COVID 19.
She was born in Newfield, NJ January 12, 1926 where she lived most of her life. Evie was the daughter of the late John and Caterina (Rena) Brezzo. She was loved by everyone and was an active member of the Newfield community as a volunteer and devoted member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was known in the family and throughout the area for her superb Italian cooking.
For the last six and a half years of her life, Evie was a happy resident of Givens Estates in Asheville, NC. She participated in many of the Given’s community cultural and volunteer activities. She was a member of Saint Barnabas Catholic Church, Arden, NC.
Evie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent Thomas Iovacchini and brother, Louis Brezzo.
She is survived by her son Eric Vincent Iovacchini and his wife Linda Iovacchini of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who loved her and will always miss her loving heart.
Evie will be interred in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield, NJ. Her longtime friend, Father John Tumosa will preside over the funeral mass. The mass will be taped and viewed on the Pancoast Funeral Home website: www.pancoastfuneralhome.com.
