Elder Seddrick Jamoll Purcell

December 15, 1977 ~ January 1, 2020 (age 42)


God saw fit to take his son, Seddrick Jamoll Purcell home on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  Seddrick was born on December 15, 1977 to Mary & Nathaniel Purcell, Jr at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He was a graduate and received his high school diploma at Hoke County high school in 1996. Seddrick was very active in sports and played tight end position at Hoke County High School “Fighting Bucks” in Raeford, North Carolina, wearing jersey number “77”. Seddrick moved to East Garden City, New York and attended Nassau Community College for 1 year with major in communications.

Seddrick was baptized at an early age and accepted the Lord as his personal savior at Avery Chapel FWB in Raeford, North Carolina. He was a member of the youth choir, and later became Youth Minister & Director of Avery Chapel FWB under Pastor Jerome Maynor. Seddrick was united in marriage to Kornelia Annette Wall on November 8, 2001.  Seddrick enjoyed playing basketball in Cameron Village with his family, friends, and youth after work in Raeford, North Carolina. His favorite sports teams were Minnesota Vikings and Go Blue Devils! He was known for his respectful demeanor and contagious smile and unique sense of humor.

Seddrick fully answered his calling to ministry after marriage to Kornelia and became Elder Seddrick Purcell from the Cape Fear Conference B in Raeford, NC in 2016. In October 2016, he relocated with his family to Asheville, North Carolina and joined under Bishop Kaycee Lewis Ministries at River of Life International.

Seddrick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Ida Bell Davis; paternal grandparents, Laura Bell & Nathaniel Purcell, Sr.; one sister, ShaSheilla Renae Verbal; father In-law, Roosevelt Robinson, Sr. of Raeford, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife Kornelia Wall Purcell of 18 years; one son, Malik Williams of Raeford, North Carolina; five daughters, Teri-Michelle Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina, Athena & Ma’Laykah Purcell of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and Sa’Koyia & Cheyenne Purcell of the home;  his loving parents Deacon Nathaniel Purcell & Elder Mary Purcell of Raeford, North Carolina; two sisters, Trena (Jerome) Purcell of Raeford, North Carolina. Lydia “Diane” Lindsey of Greensboro, North Carolina; one brother, Anthony Purcell of Raeford, North Carolina;  mother In-law, Prophetess Mechele Robinson, of Raeford, North Carolina; one brother in-law, Roosevelt Robinson, Jr. of Raeford, North Carolina; and two sisters in-law, Lanette (Markeis)Hobson of Raeford, North Carolina, and Latasha Wall of Southern Pines, North Carolina;  one godchild, Jaden Richardson of Durham, North Carolina; nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
