Clarence Benjamin Bratton, 87, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at CarePartner's John F. Keever Solace Center.
Clarence was born June 25, 1934 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Charles Furman Bratton, Sr. and Mary Stoner Bratton. He honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Clarence was employed 43 years as a chef for St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was an honorary member of Seniard Creek Farms, a hunting and fishing club in Mills River, NC. Clarence enjoyed watching local baseball, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, listening to jazz and spending time with his family. He was a life-long member of the Catholic Church through the historic St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic School and Church, which became part of the current Basilica of St. Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina Brannon Bratton; daughters, Clarice Bratton, Fairfax, Virginia and Cardelle Bratton Spangler (Jeff), Evanston, IL; son, Charles Bratton, MD. Redlands, CA; grandchildren, Noelle and Charles Spangler; sister, Ollie Mae Watts; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
