Catherine Ann Webb

Catherine Ann Webb, 91, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Givens Estates Health Center. She was born in Arden, NC on February 17, 1931 to the late A.J. Webb and Helen McDaniel Webb.

Catherine graduated from Stephens-Lee High School, Class of 1949. She was employed at Steelcase Manufacturing as a quality control technician prior to retirement. Catherine was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and served as church secretary, choir member, usher and church treasurer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Mattie Lucille Webb Byrd; brothers, Donald, James, Nathaniel and William Webb.

Left to cherish her memory are nieces, Audrey Byrd Mosley, Yvette Webb McKnight, Sabrina Webb Smith, Michelle Webb (Carl), Roslyn Webb Pickett, Carla J. Byrd; nephews, Allan Byrd (Willy), David Byrd (Donna), Donald Byrd (Janice), Timothy Byrd (Deborah); cousins, Theodore McDaniel, Ellen McDaniel, Anthony “Pete” McDaniel; many great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends including special friends, Rita Montgomery, Cora Harper, Marjorie Gilmore, Elizabeth Summey and Sandra McIntosh.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Fletcher, NC.
