Carlos R. Burton, 45, affectionately known as “Loco” was called home to be with our Father, Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born July 24, 1975 to Frankie Mosley and the late Elaine Burton.
Carlos took pride in being from the “Southside” community of Asheville. His outspoken personality mixed with comedic presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. If there was a need, big or small, Carlos was there for family, friends or strangers.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by grandfather, Benjamin Thompson; grandmothers, Myrtle Thompson, Frances Smith and Hester Mills.
Left to cherish his memory is his father, Frankie Mosley (Ava Lynn); daughters, Jasmine, LeAshley, Nikkel; sons, Malik, Kahlil, Carlos, Jr.; sisters, Courtney (Ken), Danielle and Erica Jeter; brothers, Rashaan, Rod, Phil and Wiggy; granddaughter, Tierney Glover; aunts, Sandra Pearson (Calvin), Monica Whitson, Sharon Burton, Catherine Burton; uncles, Alvernon Bomar, Andre Wilson, Terry and Jerry McSwain; special sisters, Robin Durrah and Terethia Davis; many other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from 1:00-5:00pm Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Memorial service will be 1:00pm Monday, May 3, 2021 also in the chapel. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited to 200. Attendees must wear a face covering, sanitize hands and social distance.
