Bryan “CT” Ruffin, 51, of Asheville NC transitioned on March 1, 2021, a day before his 52nd Birthday. He was born in Winston Salem, NC, March 2, 1969 to Joan Esther Strother.
Bryan was a resident of Asheville for over 25 years. He was trained as a Sous Chef receiving certification in Culinary Arts from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and Appalachian State University. Bryan was totally disabled at the time of his demise.
“CT”, as he was affectionately called by family members, was preceded in death by his Spiritual Advisor, Leader, Confidant and Grandmother, Evangelist and Co-Pastor, Mrs. Mary A. Lawson Vincent of Alpha & Omega Church Of Faith, Winston Salem, NC.
Survivors include his significant other, Mona Norris; mother, Mrs. Joan S. Ruffin Chance (Kevin), Bladensburg, MD; sisters, Freddi Ruffin and Franki Ruffin, Washington, DC; maternal aunts, Gail Horton Blair, Kernersville, NC, Nevayta “Faye” Strother (Etonia), Charlotte NC, Belva Marlin, Linda Horton and maternal uncle, John Strother, all of Winston Salem, NC; many cousins; other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be 1:30-2:00 pm Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm also in the chapel. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited to 50. Attendees must wear a face covering, sanitize hands and social distance.
