Edward “Ed” Warren, 68, went to his Heavenly home on July 6, 2019. His devotion to his family, church and firm belief in God supported him in his health struggles and ultimately gave him peace.
Ed was born to the late William and Lillian Warren of Haywood County on October 9, 1950. He was a six-year veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Highland’s Baptist Church. He was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Avalein Warren on July 27, 1988. He loved traveling with Avalein and had a passion for fishing, reading and singing in church.
Ed was a kind and compassionate man who loved his family and friends. He would always greet you with a hug and kiss. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior.
Ed is survived by his wife, Avalein; his daughters Marilda Fox, Barbara Gosnell, Donna Worley and Kristi Cason; his grandchildren Jason, Miranda, Holly, Andrew, Tisha, Kari, Amber, Justin, Zoey and Paige; his great grandchildren Emily, Amelia, Mikah, Zayden, Jonathan, Megan and Victoria; his sisters Susan Bumgardner, Brenda Robinson and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Wayne Warren, parents William and Lillian Warren, grandsons Jonathan Manos and David Lee Gosnell.
Visitation with family will be held at 2pm at Highland’s Baptist Church in Leicester followed by a memorial service at 3pm. Gene Turner and Truman Revis will be officiating.
