Deariest Louvenia "Sis" Davidson, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
Louvenia was a native of Asheville, the 2nd of seven children and the daughter of Louvenia Muckelvene Davidson and the late Herman K. Davidson. She attended Stephens-Lee High School where she excelled in basketball and marched as drum majorette, graduating with the Class of 1960. Following high school, "Sis" (as she was fondly called) served in the United States Navy. After an honorable discharge, she received a degree in Cosmetology from Sanford College, Columbus, Ohio.
Louvenia came to know the Lord early in life through her affiliation with Saint John A Baptist Church and Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She served as Sunday School Teacher with a great love for reading the Bible.
As a skilled beautician, Louvenia worked in Atlanta, Georgia and Columbus, Ohio before joining the staff at Jolie' De Shea where she served a 15-year tenure. Sis loved music, was an accomplished dancer, and had a joyous sense of humor.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Herman, Kenneth and Steve Davidson; sister, Carolyn "K.K." Davidson.
Surviving family includes her mother, Ms. Louvenia Muckelvene Davidson; daughters, Sjoukje Watkins, Atlanta, GA and Shaundette Feltus (Perry), Asheville, NC; brothers, Arthur Davidson (Brenda), Asheville, NC and Larry "Dave" Davidson (Rose), Lubbock, TX; sister, Judy McMahan, Asheville, NC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and longtime companion, Jehru Sullivan.
